Fifty more thoughts...

2. Look at the mirror and smile. Look beyond the skin… visualize the skull… and the brain within… and then yourself – a little star. A diamond sparkling away… look again at the face… These are just clothes, my dress.
3. As you walk, visualize yourself as a star. Imagine your body has become invisible and you have become visible. Watch the light (star) going up and down as you walk… similarly see all around you as stars…
4. a) Suppose you were born in Nigeria, Africa with Negroidal features, Muslim religion, different gender. How different would your behaviour be?
b) Suppose you were born in USA with Caucasian features, Christian religion, different gender. How different would your behaviour be?
I am an actor playing different roles… I must play the role well and yet be detached from it, for it doesn’t truly matter… It is not lasting and it is not true. I am a super star… my home is the supreme abode.
5. a) Suppose you lost your eyesight. What would be the state of your mind?
b) Suppose you could see events and hear sounds from far away. What would be the state of your mind?
Compare with God. I am a soul… a great actor.
6. Practice controlling the mind and intellect, then you can be bodiless in a second.
7. Silence… and timelessness. No matter what is going on, step back away from the details. Step back into reality…this is a game that will get over. The details don’t truly matter.
8. The soul consciousness challenge cup
a) Can I be soul conscious in a given situation?
b) Can I be soul conscious for ‘x’ minutes?
c) Can I be soul conscious while doing this task?
9. The forehead is my seat in my office (the body). The supreme abode, the soul world is my true home where I take rest. I came to office to meet others and do some service, play a role etc.
10. Can I be completely relaxed now?
11. Imagine I am a guest who is about to return… a traveler who will move on… let me appreciate the goodness… offer sweetness and value… and move on…I am not responsible for changing others.
12. While stopping at traffic signals, practice traffic control of thoughts.
13. While driving, practice double driving.
14. While walking, look into the far distances, observe the greenery, the trees, the flowers, the roads, the clouds, and appreciate the beauty of this huge drama of life… and your lovely role as an actor.
15. How I became Bap Samaan – back from the future…
16. My obituary – what would others write?
17. Look at any object in front of you. What is happening? Some light is reflecting from it and reaching your eyes… some electricity is triggered in the brain and you… you recognize the object and feel happy or sad or detached… you give it meaning. Your eyes could continue to see it without you associating any meaning to it if your mind is focusing elsewhere. You are the seer… the soul.
18. Listen to the sounds around… sound waves in the air…and you give meaning to them if and when you choose to… you the soul are the master…
19. Observe your dress and how it influences your behaviour. If it is well tailored and ironed… or when it is ill fitting, crumpled and untidy. Are you the dress? This body is a dress for the soul… you wear it to play your roles… you are different.
20. Observe a car in motion… how the driver maneuvers it. The body is my vehicle and I am the driver… it is a complex machine, but I operate it simply, without knowing the details of how it works.
21. Observe a person crossing the street. What is his/her like… so many details, roles to be played, worries, joys, concerns, ambitions… what a lovely role in the drama of life… I too am an actor with a role… every role has an end… and a new one will start.
22. Observe the world of ants… it is such a different world than ours! What is significant for us maybe trivial for them… and the other way too… Many parallel worlds! What is my role really? Who am I?
23. Observe the rituals of different religions. See the feeling and sense the love for God… the unseen and often unknown almighty… observe your own religion… the same reverence… a different ritual… who are we? Whose are we? How are we all connected together?
24. Think of a time when you got stressed out… what caused the stress really? Was it the event or was it your emotional unpreparedness or inadequacy to respond maturely? My perception of the world is merely the reflection of my personality…
25. In the middle of a party music shift your attention to something small and insignificant but appreciate the uniqueness and notice the detachment from the din. You are the master.
26. Whatever I can see was not there earlier…and will not remain later… what am I hanging onto? Let go and be free.
27. ‘As sure as death’, they say. Think of the perspectives and choices this certainty offers us. Am I seeing right? Am I making the right choice?
28. Everyone is worthy of respect in some way or the other – do I believe this from the heart?
29. Theme based thoughts. Adopt a virtue and embody it fully… I am truth personified. I am purity personified… live this – interact with others on this basis.
30. Listen to spiritual songs and focus on the meaning of the songs.
31. Study the secrets in the 7 days course pictures
32. Take up any murli point and ponder on it deeply… very deeply to capture the essence of the point.
33. Take up any point from thought for today or divine slogans and try to be the essence of that point.
34. Striving for perfection in any field takes us beyond limited narrow thinking… what makes that happen?
35. Visualize heaven. What would be the kind of lifestyle there? How would people interact?
36. Do the 3 step spiritual drill. One second be incorporeal, in the next be angelic and in the third become aware of your physical costume.
37. The 5-step drill of the 5 forms. First eternal form of the soul. Second – original deity form. Third – worship worthy form. Fourth – the Brahmin. Fifth – the Angelic form.
38. While eating, be a detached observer and use your hands to feed your body.
39. While taking bath, adopt the awareness of being bodiless and clean the vehicle as a service.
40. While walking, have an angelic walk. No sound coming from your movements…gentle, graceful, silent walk. Peace is my true nature.
41. While speaking, speak slowly, softly, sweetly and to the point. Peace is my true nature.
42. While moving things, make minimal sound. Pick up and keep things gently. Peace is my true nature.
43. While eating, eat silently, without talking (if possible) and making noise. Peace is my true nature.
44. While sitting, sit still in a relaxed and alert posture. While standing, stand still, upright and in a relaxed manner. Peace is my true nature.
45. When listening, listen attentively without interrupting. Understand the words and the intentions too. Do not jump to conclusions without hearing out fully. Then respond sweetly, succinctly and accurately.
46. When speaking, speak lovefully, briefly and meaningfully. Your words are invaluable and should not be wasted.
47. Check – is there anything, person and event that pulls my attention? If there is anything, gently focus your attention to it in a detached manner. From this timeless, eternal stage, check for the value of this temporary attraction and realize why the pull exists. Move beyond simply and firmly by putting it decisively in its place and focusing your awareness in the timeless, eternal incorporeal stage.
48. Do I get carried away by my own ideas? Do I justify anything strongly without considering and accepting the value of other viewpoints? Strive for balance and perspective.
49. Do I maintain my calm composure all the time? Do I ever feel agitated? What is worth losing my composure?
50. Do I appreciate the value of life and the beauty of the drama in all its variety? Am I able to take successes and setbacks, praise and criticism easily in my stride without taking anything personally?
51. What is the stance that I take? Do I stay simple and flexible when it comes to taste and stand like a rock when it comes to principles? Who am I really? What are my principles?

The Palm of my hand...

Observe the palm of your hand... then visualize the bones within. This body is perishable. I am an immortal soul playing a role.
